Wayward Paws, Inc.
Cat Rescue Adoption Spay & Neutering
Our group's mission is to help the overpopulation of cats, through spaying, neutering, foster care and finding permanent homes for cats and kittens.
This includes vetting, feeding and housing them until we are able to find permanent homes.
We also help with feral and semi-feral cats through spaying and neutering and rehabilitation of the kittens for adoption.
What Happens To Our Kitties?
Surrendered, abandoned and injured cats and kittens are first examined by veterinarians. They are spayed/neutered, given necessary medical treatment then sent to one of our foster homes.
The foster homes feed, love and take care of their immediate needs while waiting for adoption.
We have cats and kittens and barn cats for adoption with a small adoption fee. The adoption fee of $90.00, includes spay/neutering, vaccinations, flea treatment, worming, and FIV/Feline Leukemia testing. We also have feral cats that would make great barn cats.
Kittens not adopted are sent to North Shore Animal League (a no kill shelter) on Long Island for adoption. We make a trip to North Shore approximately once a month.
